TAXI TO ESCAPE ABDUCTORS
Seattle, Wash. Miss Camilia Casaleri, an 18-year-old giri of Cle Elum,
Wash, a country town near here, recently had the most startling experience
of her life. ,
Leaping froma taxi she had hired that was speeding 30 milesan hour,
she chose what seeded certain death to escape from' the man who had abr
ducted her. She was badly hurt and was picked up unconscious.
"When I began screaming he choked, me and cursed-me," said the girl.
"I fought just as hard as I .could and was' getting weak when, the door came
open. I realized ,that it might mean death if I jumped. But I preferred
death, so I jumped. ......
When a clergyman announced that
there wouldbe a nave in the church
an old lady-whispered that-she "knew
the party to "whom he referred."
