ager, who is handling the affairs of
Dutch Kasper,.is trying to match his
man with some good boys at 122 to
124 pounds. He touts Kasper as a
regular fighter, and claims a brace of
victories over Kid Graves, who has a
reputation in the East
Kasper has the markings of a top
notcher, but needs some good bat
tles with first-class men 'to help him
on his way.
Kansas City Feds filed suit for
$10,000 damages against' Pitcher
Fred Blanding of the Naps yesterday
at St. Louis, and also applied for an
injunction to prevent him playing
with any team but the Kay See crew.
It is alleged Blanding signed a con
tract -and accepted advance money.
Manager Birmingham rushed Bland
ing out of town to prevent service of
the suits.

Making excuses for the Cubs is
tiresome business.
It is time they were dragged out in
the open and posted in their true
light. The West Side team is play
ing listless ball, acting in a don't
care manner, and quitting when the
milling is going against them.
This does not apply to all of the
athletes, of course. Tommy Leach
was just as active in the ninth inning
of yesterday's burlesque with Pitts
burgh as in the first, and so was- Vic
Saier. Jimmy Archer did his work.
