weak, selfish mother or a f ather who

you going to punish the children?

Don't you think it is just and fair

As for the failure who has the
right to say what man or woman is
failure? Surely I have not, and I
would not attempt the task, for I
have known men and women that
the "world called failures and I have
.found them to be the world's greatest
successes because they spread happi
ness and kindness and sweetness all
about them, and I envied them as I
never envied the man or the woman
upon whom the world had set its
stamp of approval.
I remember a visit I made to an
old man who was ill unto death in a
room that had one chair, and a table
with the leg fastened with string;
torn curtain that hung heavy with
the weight of dirt, and a couch with
a tattered cover and no sheet.
He .was a failure as the world
counts success, and yet, how I en
vied him! For he loved everyone,
felt only kindness toward everyone,
and he regretted leaving a world that
had been cruel to him because he had
made himself believe, it was a good

BLAZE ROUTS FAMILIES
Twenty-four families were routed
from their beds early today by a fire
that did $200,000 damage to a row
