The demand of Editor Cochran for
"more play and fun" for the boys is
a big idea. It should be given serious
consideration. I'm going to take it
up at the meeting of the Chica'go
It is a sad commentary on the
great City of Chicago that it is left
for a boy whose youth and boyhood
they are robbing him of, to call the
attention of the people to the need
of a place to play. I think Chicago
ought to erect a monument to the
boy who had the courage to call the
people's attention to it.
It is one of the proofs that we need
the mother element in our city gov
ernment we need the maternal in
stinct to secure for these children the
rights of childhood.
For ourteen or fifteen years the
Teachers' Federation has been clam
oring to have the schools 'used and
