Washington Porter was found guilty of owning property used for dis
orderly purposes and was fined $200. Motion for a new trial will be heard
There' has been a strange case going on in our Morals Court that
clinic of human emotions. On one side stands a millionaire, Washington
Porter, who is accused of owning property used for immoral purposes.
On the other hand there is a minister, a man who signs himself "Rev1
erend" and preaches the story of the Magdalene on Sundays, but who ad
mitted in open court he had brought a young married woman to a hotel as
a- trap. ' '
