I have entered the h& nowcloseiy drawn rebel lines under assignment to march with Gen. Vijla to the gates of Mexico City. I arrived' at this, the capital city of the rebel government, on the eve of the. coup Villa pulled off which made him commander-in-chief of the constitutional armies and which rele gated Carranza to a place as civil chiefof the rebel government. . There's no doubt about Villa being! the boss of the whole worfcs now.l Not that anybody has anything against Carranza not even Villa. ' The truth is that Carranza has made a mess of the rebel military af fairs since he came out of the west into Villa's country. There have been no more great victories, there have been some pretty sorry defeats. So everybody, 'including nearly all the generals, thought it was about time for Villa to get out his gun again.
