Commissioner Shaw heard the ar guments of residents of Dixon and Sterling for the elimination of a grade crossing on the Chicago & Northwestern line, known as McRob ert's crossing, where two deaths and numerous accidents have occurred in recent years. Chairman C. C. Buckaloo of the Lee county supervisors asked that the road be compelled to elevate its tracks. The commission will rule later. Citizens of Wilmington, HI., ap pearing before Commissioner Funk, complained that the Chicago & Alton Railroad train service to that town is irregular and inefficient. o o SNEAK THIEF ROBS DENTIST ' A sneak thief entered the office of Dr. L. H. Micklewaithe, 402 Wendell Bank Bldg., Ogden and Madison, late yesterday afternoon and got away with considerable gold, including some finished work. The thief is described by the den tist as about 45, slender, medium complexion, with a sandy mustache and wearing glasses.
