Sensibaugh was Williams' right
hand man in the old days when the
Reverend Elmer was chasing the un
fortunate women of the underworld.
In order to get the goods on people
Williams and Sensibaugh used to re
sort to the un-Christianlike method
of setting traps.
It was while Sensibaugh was an
"evangelist" that she met him, the
girl claims. Two years ago, while
only a girl fresh from school, she did
a very foolish thing.
The foolish thing occurred after
a joy ride with a party of which a
city official is said to have been a
member. Before the joy ride ended
the girl was arrested.
Later she was paroled to Sensi
baugh. She has been "under his care"
since. Three weeks ago the girl
rented a room on the second floor
of the Oak street house. A few days
later Sensibaugh took a room on the
third floor. After that they are re
ported to have been frequently to
gether. Yesterday morning they are re
ported to have quarreled. The girl
stayed in her room most of the day
and the other roomers heard nothing
from her until her cry of pain after
ehe had taken the poison.
A study of Sensibaugh's past life is
interesting. He is married. He
studied evangelism at the Moody
Bible Institute. At other times he is
reported to have been a surgeon, den
tist and professional stool pigeon.
Sensibaugh's methods first came to
light when Williams started out after
the old Erie Hotel. Rev. Elmer caus
ed the arrest of the proprietor.
And in open court Williams ad
mitted that in order to obtain evi
dence on the place he had Sensibaugh
and two other of his stool pigeons set
a trap for the place.
Two of the stools took a DECENT
GIRL to the hotel, rented rooms and
remained in the rooms for over an
hour. Sensibaugh stayed on the

O'Hara vice commission by dragging
a man and woman out of bed In a
North Side rooming-house and rush
ing them down before O'Hara.
There the woman was forced to sit
before a gaping crowd until Barratt
O'Hara, chairman of the commission,
became so incensed he stopped the
proceedings and told the woman to
go home. And then as the couple
were leaving Williams had them ar
rested. Rev. Williams was very peeved
when he first was asked about the
case. He at first denied any inform
ation to the press. Later he said
Sensibaugh hadn't worked for him
for a year.
Nothing has been heard of Sensi
