"BIG TIM" KEOUGH DYING
"Big Tim" Keough, one of Chi
cago's veteran and best-known police
dfficers, is dying at his home, 3254
Cottage Grove av. He was stricken
only recently while on a vacation in
West Baden. Keough, who has fig
ured jjonany police stories for sev
eral years, has been doing duty at
Montgomery Ward's.

INDIA FORCES OFFER TO HELP
GREAT BRITAIN IN WAR
London, Sept. 22. From all of In
dia offers for service in the European
war of men and of money, continue to
pour in. The India office announced
that in addition to the offers hereto
fore mentioned, the Madras govern
ment has notified it of thtir intention
to equip a hospital ship. The Mus
sulmens from all over India are con
tributing to equip a field hospital.
Many more native rulers are vol
unteering. The aged Aga Tahan,
high priest of India, one of the most
powerful church rulers in the empire,
wrote that in addition to ordering his
religious followers to join forces with
Great Britain he desired personally
to serve. He offered to go as a pri
vate in any Indian regiment. The
Gaekwar of Baroda, who has al
ready contributed a vast sum of
money, and the Rajah Akalkot both
offered troops today. The Rajah Pa-a
dupota wrote: "I offer all I possess."

SENSIBAUGH'S BAIL RAISED
William C. Sensibaugh, "evange
list," accused by Marie Santay, who
is in a critical condition as a result
of her suicide attempt, was called be
fore Judge Uhlir today and his bonds
were increased to $2,000. He had
been out 9n $1,200 bonds.. The .case
will be heard Oct. 9.
At Passavant Hospital, where the
girl is confined, it was announced to
day that her condition had taken
a turn for Ihe worse during the night.
