Seventeen aldermen who are
stockholders in banks were named
today by Att'y Donald Richberg for
the special council committee inves
tigating the split interest game from
the Lonmer bank crash.
These aldermen are bank stdck-holders-

P. Harding, John N. Kimball, Willis
O. Nance, Lewis Sitts, William P. Ry
an, Winfield J. Held, Prank McDer
mqtt, S. S. Walkowjak, James A.
Kearns, Joseph L Novak, Anton Cer

ry. Utpatel, Jacob Lindheimer. .
Voting records of all these seven
teen aldermen are being looked up.
The committee' wDl announce next
week the names of those aldermen
in the list who voted to place city
money in their own banks.
Aldermen thus voting to deposit
city funds in banks where they hold
stock are guilty of violating a state
law on the duty of public officers.
Prom one to five years' imprisonment
and a fine of $1,000 is fixed by the
law for each offense.
