Cal., upon whose sensational testi
mony the Rev. Bt B Rqbbins, her
pastor, was convicted by Jury of hav
ing written her improper letters aft
er having invited her to attend his
Bible classes and to typewrite his ser
mons. The accused clergyman denied
writting the -missives., fighting des
perately for acquittal. Motion for
new trial was at once made.

Crane Wilbur is spending his three
weeks' "vacation" on the real stage.
Frederick Thompson has returned
to the Vitagraph to direct star pro
ductions. He is to be thanked for at
least two classics, "The Christian"
and "Loves Sunset."
Anita Stewart and Earle Williams
have been cast in the "Sins of the
Mothers," which won the $1,000 prize
in the Evening Sun contest.
Grace Cunard and Francis Ford
are working pn a 6-reel"picture, "The
Phantom of the Violin."
Frank Montgomery and wife, Mona
Darkfeather, have caught the "dis
