Beah Whitehead, recently elected.

because they thought a woman, of her
type could be just a little bit better
justice of the peace than the .men
who ran against her; that she was
just the person for the job.
Judge Whitehead is not a devotee
of pink or tango teas, and does not
see why women cannot deal out as
good a brand of justice as men, yea,
even a little better, perhaps.
