BRIDE AND GROOM
Two months probation for all young
couples wishing to become "one" was
advocated by Mrs. Havelock Lewis,
English lecturer on sex problems,
who spoke on "The Love of Tomor
row" and "The Semi-Detached Mar
riage" in the Little theater yesterday.
"There is more of the atmosphere
of comic opera than of sanctity about
the marriages of the present day,"
she declared. "A great .many are
merely adultery for men and a plunge
into animalism for women."
Later she said: "Some marriages
constitute adultery with home comforts."
