The case of Charles W. Capper of
the firm of Capper & Capper, ex

ment" for perjury in" a federal white
slave 'suit, is still on the list of un

Capper Indictment was returned., in
June by a grand jury in Milwaukee. .
Prom what Chief "Clabaugh of the
federal bureau of 'investigation told a
Day Book reporter today it is safe
to say;it is anybody's guess when the
rich haberdasher vwilljbet brought to
trial.
James A. Broif, chief Investigator
at the time the indictment was re-
turned, said at that time trial was
expected In September.
Since then all questions asked the
new chief, Claubaugh, have been an
swered :rf ."Nothing, to say on that
case. When my bureau has any in
structions on that case which I am
permitted to make public I will tell
you what they are."
The firm of Capper & Capper is a
heavy advertiser in all Chicago daily
papers. Phe Daily Bulletin- of the
Capper- stores has filled more "white
space in newspapers and .called for.
