Saloon of Frank J. McCauley, 340
W .Kinzie., held up $35.
Joseph Svaboda, 1613 Throop, told
police he wanted to stay over night
in cell. Hit on head by pitcher in
argument with wife.
Christina Eck, maid at 1143 Mo
zart, bound and gagged by holdup
men. Frightened her into uncon
sciousness. Nothing taken.
R. S. Marsh, 5951 Lakewood av.,
lost $15 to holdup man near home.
Robber escaped in auto.

Joe Wagner, 18, 2136 W. Huron,
arrested in attempt to enter rear
window of Wm. C. Meyers' home,
2210 Walton. Had burglar tools.
Mrs. Josephine Andrews, 69, 2008
Indiana av., dead. Fell under horses.
Mrs. Catherine Goodrich, 3652 Cal
umet av., disappeared. Left suicide
note to husband. Police searching.
Autos of A. Miller, 4639 Vincennes
av., and W. R. Page, 5942 Normal av.,

fell from wagon turning out of car

reported suitcase and $30 worth of
clothes missing. So is roomer.
Twelve negroes taken in raid on
"Ranier club," 3010 State. Eleven
arrested at "Pioneer club," 3512
State. Gambling alleged.
Mrs. Caroline Smith, 743 E. 45th,
advertised for lost. ring. Boy said
brother had it in Gary, Ind. Asked
$1 carfare. Exit boy and dollar.
John Dibola, 3301 S. Leavitt, and'
Joe Withers, neighbor, fell down rear
steps of Dibola home. Both in County
hospital.
Frank W. Helen, Pontiac hotel,
20th and Michigan av., dead. Hit by
Indiana av. car.
F. E. McCune, 1639 S. Homan av.,
had pocket picked on Ogden av.
car. $9.
" Annie Feldman, 14, 936 W. 14th,
fell down two flights of steps. El
bow dislocated and head cut.
