Of course, I owe an apology to
every red-blooded person for looking
at tis from a purely legal standpoint
when the red blood in men rises up

EUGENIC MARRIAGE. Once
upon a time there lived in the ago of
Christian civilization a number of
wise physicians who formed an asso
ciation to boost business and to pro
tect prices, being dissatisfied with
their income.
Now the practice of medicine had
become a very good graft, but the
rising cost of living and the increas
ing output of medical schools, also
diplomas bought in the open market,
had necessitated some device for in
creasing their revenue.
The people of those times were
poor, simple "boobs," easily agitated
with any new ideas they did not un-n
derstand, in fact they had been
known to attend a performance "of
grand opera, rendered in the lan
guage they did not know, and sit for
hours with mouths open, wondering
what was being said , afterward
boasting of the wonderful production
to all of their friends.
This class of fools could be gulled
as easily as a week-old calf.
The physicians having exhausted
their powers on the "boobs" with
vaccination, gastritis, peritonitis, ap
pendicitis and other methods of "itis"
hit upon a novel plan which would
reap a harvest.
Hitherto, their first call from the
newly-married was perhaps with the
advent-of the first baby, but now they
would be able to start grafting at
marriage, so they carefully handed
out the "Eugenic" idea.
Hammering at state legislatures
. and municipalities, they began get
ting this wonderful law on the stat
ute books. With this law enforced
they could reap a harvest with every
prospective bride and bridegroom. If
these "boobs" could be made to be
lieve they did not quite pass the stan
dard it would be easy to make them
come through with ?50 or $100 to
get the required certificate, especially
if they were madly in love.
By annexing to their working force
bachelor professor, called moral up
lif ters, bachelor congressmen and old
maids of the welfare department they
secured their desireg and one more
yoke was added to the- already
strained necks of humanity.
Moral Boobs and asses like suf
fering and legitimate grafting.

REFORM THE REFORMERS.
The workers on the problem of
prostitution not only have the audac
ity to try to improve on God's handi
work, but they are shortsighted
enough to struggle along at the top
of the ladder and never seem to
think of starting at the root of the
evil and working up.
They might as well begin at the
top to build the pyramids as to spend
all their time and efforts harassing
the girls and women who have al
ready fallen and paying compara
tively no attention to the rising gen
eration. Only about one of every
hundred of these women have any
desire or inclination to change their
mode of living, and those who do are
given practically no chance at all to
regain their former status.
Why not bring up the boys with a
proper respect and reverence for the
female sex and sexual matters, in
stead of putting all the blame and re
sponsibility upon the shoulders of
womanhood. A great many, if not
the majority of young men, are
brought up with the idea that all
women are fair game, and if they are
not taught that at home (and I have
known some that are) they learn it
elsewhere and the parents make no
especial "effort to correct the mistake,
