BETTY BROWN GETS HER NEW SAILOR SHE
DESCRIBES HAT AND VEIL THAT "MAKE IT"
It's really "the veil that makes the new sailor hats that's why I got a
veil with my new Knox. The hat is just as plain as Dad's hat, but the veil
falling in pretty folds down about the shoulders takes away that mannish
effect which is so trying to most of us. The newest veils are very fine and
in square mesh with heavy borders. Betty Brown.
TRY RAISINS IN TAPIOCA

Raisins in Pudding. Soak 1 cup
ful of pearl tapioca in a pint of milk
for 3 hours, or, if the minute tapioca
is used it may be put into 3 pints of
milk and put over fire m double boil
er. Heat slowly and cook until ten
l der and clear.
When clear add 2 tablespoons of
jutter and beat thoroughly.
Beat 2 eggs with one-half cup of
sugar and stir gradually into the tap
:ioca. Add 1 cup of seeded raisins
that have been cut in two with sharp
scissors, turn, into well-buttered pud
ding pan and bake 25 minutes. Serve
hot with hard sauce.
