WOMEN FIGHTING KILENS
A bitter fight is being waged
against Representative Hubert Ki
lens, candidate for alderman in the
29th ward, by the Women WageEarn
ers' Citizenship league, according to
Sec'y Margaret O'Neill. Kilens voted
to delay action on the child labor bill
in Springfield.
An auto truck is touring the dis
trict, she says, bearing the following
sign:
"Protect the health of your work
ing women. Representative Kilens
says that the. working women in his
district do not want the eight-hour
day and voted to delay action on this
bQI last Tuesday. Answer him at the
polls on Tuesday. A vote against Ki
lens is a vote for a shorter work day
for women."
