" Mariam Stacker o Honolulu, who arrived in San Francisco from the
islands recently to get some of the best swimming talent in the west ttff
make a trip to Honolulu to participate in the big swimming carnival in the''
islands in June. Miss Stacker is a sister of Ruth Stacker, the Americans
record holder for the fifty-yard dish, and is president of the Hui Au Kai
Swimming Club in Honolulu. She brings a special invitation to Frances
Lyona Cowells of San Francisco and will also extend invitations to other
girls to make the trip. 1
