THREE GREATEST FAKES.
1 A religion that has three gods, one
the father of another through the as
sistance of the third and a virgin,
who remained a virgin even after
bearing a son who was its own father.
2 The Salvation Army, which col
lects enough money every year to
pay the expense of running the po
'lice department and then some, and
renders no account of receipts and
expenditures, and whose existence
depends on what it tells the people
it does for the general good.
3 A nation that prays for peace to
a God that does not want peace or he
would have it, being all powerful,
and that at the same time furnishes
the belligerents with the means of
knocking the stuffing out of each

AN ANSWER. Please inform me
whether or not Michael J. Collins is
president of the Board of Education
for the city of Chicago and also ad
vise me of what faith he is and how
many children he has, also stating
what school they attend and how
long they have been attending same.
Ben. D. Leavitt.
Answer. Michael J. Collins is the
president of the school board and a
Roman Catholic. He has six chil
dren, four of whom are now married.
Before marriage they attended St.
Catherine's academy, Austin. One
daughter, Ruth, is now attending St,
Mary's Academy, Austin. Edward,
20, is at St. Mary's college, St.
"ANOTHER PATRIOT." We all
know that water seeks its own level
and that birds of a feather flock to

I dare say if either of the "Patriots"
was taken sick he would go to a rep
utable physician and, after having the
prescription filled by a competent
druggist, would proceed to take the
medicine, knowing nothing whatever
about the ingredients contained. The
reason he would take this without ar
guing is that he would realize that
the doctor and the druggist have
made a study of medicine and know
what they are doing.
Now if the clergy of the Catholic
church and the authorities of the
convents, who like the physician and
druggist have made this their life
work, have denied these statements
hundreds of times, and if anyone is
interested enough to follow up these
statements one at a time one will find
conclusive proof that the statements
In regards to the Sears, Roebuck &
Co. catalog, there is no one to con
sult as to the veracity of the state
ments and there is no authority to
back it up. We must take it at its
face value. But, coming from one
who has received the notoriety I pre
sume you Patriots know that Julius
has, it certainly should not go very
far. No, Mr. "Another Patriot," 'that
is the reason why I safd you should
not believe this item.
"Another Patriot" says, "We take
it that you know something in regard
to this question." I don't claim to
know anything, but since I have a
number of close relations connected
with the convent I know positively.
