MAD CAP PRINCESS IS A WANDERER ON THE
FACE OF THE EARTH!
Princess Marie Jose a Characteristic Photograph of the Little Royal
"Madcap."
Mane Jose, the "madcap princess
of Belgium," only daughter of King
Albert and Queen Elizabeth, is now
"the princess 'without'a home."
From this happy, dimpled little
princess of the Belgians ithe Germans
have taken her home and she is in
England, literally a wanderer on the
face of the earth.
No longer has she a palace in
which to "make faces" at royal
guests, to toss teddy bears at coro-
neted domes, and to trip her father, tcurtai!ed. ; ,-JL i.i
the king; and send him sprawling
downstairs in the midst of a recep
tion all of which she has done.
Dimpled and possessing a mass of
golden hair, this little child of 8 years
t she was born im August, 190(5 is
regarded as the fairest royal baby of
Europe. But now, bereft of country,
of palaces, almost, of parents, she is
just a plain little girl like thousands
of others in America with her op
portunities for mischief considerably
