e"Yes," palpitated Millie, in a sub
dued tone, "I can never forget 'him."
"You say that! I hope it!" cried Mr.
Marsh joyfully. "You will become my
daughter Millie, promise me."
She burst into happy tears. She
riestled close into those fatherly arms.
It was her reply and the old man's
face was radiant.
"Cyril!" he called, and from the
shrubbery there advanced the subject
of all Milly's love dreams.

Blueberry Gingerbread. Add .
cupful of boiling water to 1 cupful
molasses. Mix and sift 2 cupfuls of
pastry flour, 1 teaspoonful soda, iy2

spoonfuls melted butter and beat vig
orously; then add 1 cupful blueber
ries rolled in 2 tablespoonfuls flour.
