Philadelphia, June 14. Ida Riehl
has killed the thing she loved, a weak
boy of 20 who betrayed her under
promise of marriage and then refus
ed to right the wrong he had done
and give his name to their unborn
This 17-year-old girl is now out on
bail await trial for murder- in Phil
adelphia, where the crime occurred.
She killed Edward Haupjfuhrer,
son of a wealthy dairyman, after the
young man had answered her -plea
that he give their unborn child a
name by telling her to leave him and
never bother him again. He enforced
this brutal statement made in the
presence of several boy companions
by spitting in the girl's face!
Ida Riehl has big blue gray eyes,
and the color of a wild rose.
She is of medium height and so
slender that she does not appear to
be more than 15.
