ator. Miss Adeline Newman is the daring
young woman who accepted the con
tract for "doing" the elephant's nails

Miss Newman asked to be given "an
open order on a local hardware store,
with the remark that she had forgot
ten to bring her full kit, and returned
with an armful of hammers, chisels
and blacksmith files.
