city.
St Louis, Mo., July 1. Bagging a
million flies a week!
That's what St Louis is doing with
the assistance of a few of her citi
zens as a practical demonstration to
prove to the rest of the Mound city
population that
Flies can be practically wiped out
in a big city if everybody will lend a
hand.
St Louis, through the health bu
reau, first tried the usual methods of
yarning the public of the dangers of
flies and urging them to "Swat 'em."
But there was mighty little swat
ting done.
So St Louis decided to show her
citizens that the fly plague could be
controlled.
Municipal flytraps were set up in the
principal streets and in one month 57
