HIRAM ON JITNEYS. Gov. Hiram
Johnson of California refused to sign
a measure passed by the legislature
regulating the jitneys, thus permit
ting it to die. Gov. Johnson states
his reasons as follows:
"The jitneys present a serious

GIVE HUERTA THE BOOTS.
It is time that Uncle Sam quit han

that has resulted in stirring up the
whole southwestern border at -further
cost and worry.
Huerta is an undesirable.
He should be fired out of this country.
