Is one other to be considered besides
him and his mate. A little life, an
innocent little child and our orphan
institutions are filled -with these lit
tle ones. This phase is the saddest
part of such a transaction.
If you have had a good father ana
a good mother your heart must ache
for the child to be robbed of one or
both parents.
If you have no money to marry
then you have none to care for a lit
tle child and how can the mother earn
her living and take care of the child?
Then the woman should prevent
childbirth? Abortions Again must
the woman suffer.
One abortion injures a woman
more than five births. In fact, phy
sicians declare that each child born
to a heatlhy woman adds ten years
to her life.
I know economic conditions are not
right for young people and it will
be a struggle for many if they marry,
and with some it is impossible. But
two wrongs never made a right! Let
every young man and young woman
set to work to find the cause of our
economic conditions and then seek
to redress these wrongs. They win
find more happiness in life than add
ing to its already untold miseries.
When you find persons given to
study and not forgetting recreation
and exercise they are not as likely to
yield to their emotions. I do not only
mean those who attend colleges, for
many go who do not go there for
study.
I know every one cannot be alike,
but there are very few in the world
who cannot take up some line of
study or activity that will give them
interest and pleasure until such time
as they can marry and have a home
and family, even if it be humble.
"There is no place like home."

written by Mr. Green, and wish that
he would explain the manner in which
the friars in the Philippines conduct
ed themselves so that it was neces
sary for this government to make an
investigation as to their activities.

WANTS INFORMATION. I was
very much interested in the article
contained in The Forum in the issue
of June 30, "Concerning Churches,"
BILLY SUNDAY. In the July 1 is
sue a convert of B. Sunday wrote
"Long live B. Sunday and let him
keep on collecting and doing good."
Indeed he is "doing good." He col
lects from the poor, hypnotized work
ing people and does good for the rich.
He is a good tool to keep the people
ignorant.
Billy Sunday preaches and damns
the drunkard and criminal. Why
doesn't he preach to resist the cause
of the two?
Billy Sunday preaches a heaven,
hell and devil somewhere in the cos
mos. I think we have enough hell
and a good many devils on this earth.
Why doesn't he preach for heaven
right here?
The world is tired of the 2,000-year-old
theology that he preaches. What
this world wants is reason and knowl
edge. With these two you can resist
the social injustice and diminish
crime. M. W.
SOME EXPOSES. Among the
most interesting things in Chicago
are the exposes of one thing or an
other so regularly conducted by the
Chicago Daily Tribune.
You must give the above mentioned
publication great credit. In each and
every one of their famous exposes
they have successfully exposed the
Chicago Daily Tribune. A. J. Samp

Lloyds of London have recently is
sued a form of insurance against ap

so numerous that they have found it
necessary to double their premiums.
