LEMON SYRUP
Juice of 6 .lemons, grated rind.of
3 lemons, 3 pounds 'of white sugar.
Make a thick syrup. When cool, strain,
the juice into it and squeeze as much
oil from the grated, xind as possible.
A. tablespoonful. in a glass of .water
will make a delicious drink ona hot

FRENCH BEANS
Wash, string and cut 2 quarts of
beans in pieces; boil until tender,
drain arid put back in sauce pan.
Shake over fire to dry, stir 3 table
spoonfuls of butter into beans, add 2
tablespoonfuls of minced parsley and
the juice of 2 lemons. Stir thorough
ly and serve,
