"L" MEN GET AGREEMENT
John J. Bruce, president of the ele
vated railroad men's union, has been
handed an agreement by the com
pany which, if accepted by the men,
will grant a wage increase of $800,
000 a year.
If the proposed agreement is all
that has been claimed for it, it is be--lieved
the men will accept for they
would b egiven practically everything
the yasked for when they struck.
If the men accept the agreement
it wil lbecome effective for the wage
increases from June 1 last
