FOR SETTLING TROUBLES
Denver, Colo., Oct 2. What John
D. Rockefeller, -Jr., described as "a
comprehensive plan for collective
bargaining with employes and model
for adjusting labor troubles" will be
submitted to representatives of
Rockefeller's 18 mining camps at
secret meeting in Pueblo, Colo., to
day. Plan is Rockefeller's reply to
United Mine Workers' demand for
union recognition. It was developed
by officials of Rockefeller's Colorado
Fuel & Iron Co., aided by MacKenzie
King of Rockefeller Foundation and
perfected by young millionaire him
self during his study of living condi
tions in camps.
Announcement of detailed arrange
ments for self-government in camps,
presentation of grievances, appeals to
company officials and exhaustive ex
planation of collective bargaining
feature will be made by Rockefeller.
Pueblo meeting will approve the plan
which wps developed' in the com
pany's offices,
