"HEAVEN KISSES" KEPT MEAL
COLD LOVE FEELS CHILL
New York, Dec. 14. Dinners of
"heaven kisses," during which her
southern-cooked dainties were al
lowed to get cold on the table, were
described today by Everett P.
Ketchum's negro "mammy," Rebec
ca Wilson; to Mrs. Ketchum's suit
for separation. The "heaven kiss"
dinners marked the honeymoon of
the Ketchums, the aged negress tes
tified, and Ketchum "would just roll
his eyes and sigh."
"I've seen huggin' and kissin' be
fore, but nothin' like the way these
two carried on," said the cook. "I
was Mr. Ketchum's housekeeper and
the first night he brought home his
bride it was just um-um-um all the
time."
The witness puckered her lips in
what she said was a representation
of the honeymooners' facial antics.
"I left out most of the dinner
courses because I made up my mind
they were goin' to sit there spoonin'
forever."
Ketchum, wealthy lawyer and Yale
grad, described tht kiss as a two
hour performance. He indicated he
was considerably bored by Mrs.
Ketchum's continued manifesttions
of love, but said he endured them as
long as possible to avoid hurting her
feelings.
"I believed her love so strong that
she .had to take this method of ex
pressing affection," said Ketchum.

GOLF COATS AIDS TO MR. D.
CUPID, SAYS MOVIE GIRL
By Jackie Saunders, Movie Star
Don't you adore the little green
coats and the bright red coats we
wear when we golf?
Isn't the tea good they serve on
. the verandas at the clubhouse? Pon't
you like to swing your arms around
with all your force and drive the ball
over the ground?
I think playing golf is a splendid
recreation, both for men and women.
Sport clothes, say what you will of
the big stripes and no-heel shoes, are
cJackie S-aundens
becoming to most girls. And you can
wear them to perfection on the links.
You know, I've just been thinking,
if I were a man and had the job of
picking out a wife I'd surely pin my
faith to the outdoor girl. Try golf
1 f or rel fun and exercise, girls.
