there is small blame to Mr. Loeb to
kick, and maybe kick more. I do not
use this to Mrs. Young as a reproach,
but what about our children?
Will you, Mr. Shoop, Mr. Loeb,
members of the board of education,
try to make the passage between the
cradle and the grave a bit easier for
our children than it has been for us?
I understand that an examination
is coming up for teachers of manual
training on Dec. 27. Will you, Mr.
Loeb, put a stop to selection of
women carpenters into the public
system? Jas. Shallow, Union Carpenter.
BLAME PEOPLE. No, "Descend
of '76," we should not blame the
mayor nor the police. We should
blame the people who elect such men
,For goodness sake haven't all the
people on "God's green earth" a right
to it, especially the workers who
create all the wealth? Pretty soon
the earth will become so monopb
lized by a few that we'll be told to get
off of it entirely and then I suppose
the only place will be in the earth.
How did the clothing hogs, or, in
fact, all the hogs in every industry,
work up? You will probably be told
that they started as poor newsboys
or something of the sort Why can't
anybody work up that way now?
Too many hogs ! They worked up by
skinning others through the sweat
Wake up, everyone' "of you, and
elect such men as will stand by you
a Kennedy, a Rodriguez! A few
others are all right, too, but heavens,
i don't put good wine in a rotten bar
rel! Change the skinning system,
abolish profits and I'll have a right to
be on this beautiful mother earth of
ours! Garment Strikers' Wife.
ANOTHER DOLLAR. I send an
other dollar to augment the gar
ment workers' strike fund. I dan't
know what you think about it, but
I send a little letter once in a while
to The Day Book Forum in favor of
humanitarianism and am in earnest,
too. The dollar I am sending has
the pictures of Abraham Lincoln and
Grant on it and I send it to help out
the utterly oppressed, the same as
either of these great men would do
were they living, especially honest
old Abe. A Forum Writer.
ETHICS. The barons of politics,
science and religions do not want
the dear people to exercise individ
uality because it eventually means
the masses would practice their own
law, medicine and religions. This
would never do because the barons
would be ruined. They would be
reduced to the ranks and that is what
Do you notice how the medical
trust is trying to rob Dr. Haiselden of
all his rights in the medical profes
sion because he dared to be honest
with us common folks and tell us
what we earnestly seek to know and
discuss? The medical trust fears the
loss of its power and they are trying
to keep away from a free people the
individuality they earnestly seek.
They refuse to let us become good
mixers. They reserve to themselves
a monopoly of medical knowledge.
Is there any worse aristocracy on
earth than the medical trust, domi
nated by an old school of old fossils
who should die with the Bollinger
baby and release an enslaved would
from its bondage?
The world wants good mixers like
Dr. Haiselden, Margaret Sanger, Dr.
Ben Reichman and other progres
sives to step out from thk ranks of
the medical profession and throw off
the shackles of "established medical
ethics" until humanity becomes free.
Oh, you old mossbacks! Your Water
loo is slowly approaching. The peo
ple will not stand for your monopoliz
ing all medical knowledge much
longer. We are wise to the fact that
you are a caste in our midst and
that the government will allow you
to receive certain books of sexual
