Three Year War of Efficiency Bureau on Recorder's
Office Goes On Torrens System and Publicly
Owned Abstract Plant Involved.

men comes after a three-year fight
between the Bureau of Public Effi
ciency and the county recorder's of'
& ., :
From day to day now for a month
or more, until circuit court judges
decide how many men Connery shall
have on his pay roll in 1916, the fight
is expected to drag on. On Connery's
side are lined up the Cook County
Real Estate board, the Cook County
Torrens Land Title Registration
league and the public ownership
crowd of Chicago.
