Dick Hooper, One-Armed Outfielder,
quickly as an outfielder with
hands.
Last season Hooper threw out 10,
runners at the plate. He had 105
chances in the field and did not make
an error.
He is a good batter. He uses a
short, thick bat Last season he hit
safely in 16 consecutive games, mak
ing a better record than most of his
teammates. B
This is Hooper's last year at Texas
university. He plans to enter Dart
mouth next year.
The banquet planned by Louis Ger
tenrich for the reunion of ajl old ball
players who have played ball on the
prairies of Chicago previous to the
year 1895 has created a large interest
among those eligible.
Lou has received many interesting
letters from oldtimers,.who are elated
over the coming event, and expects
to receive many more names.
If you are an old player and belong
to the vets who played .ball in Chi
cago before 1895, you ae wanted.
