CELEBRATE FIFTIETH YEAR IN BED

Miss Mollie Fancher, called America's most famous invalid becausa
she has not been out of- bed since she fell from a horse car in 1866, cele
brates today her fiftieth year spent in bed in her home in Brooklyn, N. Y.

will today be quizzed by the Civil
Service Com'n regarding the opening
of the petitions of aldermen desiring
places on. the primary ballot. Of 35
aldermen who are coming up for re
election 30 obtained the coveted first
position. Many of these men are anti
administration and the mayor has al
ready gone out to replace a number
of aldermen who will not "go along"
The administration charges that
many of the eldermen had their
names written on the outside of en
velopes sent to the city qlerk inclos
ing their petition.
