Ed Walsh is coming Thursday, and
again it is reported that the Big
Reel's arm is in shape for regular
Jack Taylor, a husky native of
Spokane, is being talked about by
Northwest critics as one of the com
ers in the heavyweight wrestling
class. Taylor is 27 years old, an ex
policeman, weighs 215 pounds and
is 6 feet 1 inch in height Here is his
record in matches with:
Charles Cutler, four bouts won
first on foul. Time, 2 hours and 30
minutes. Second, a draw, one fall
each, 2 hours 17 minutes. Third, lost
on'fouL Fourth, draw, 2 hours, no
Stecher, lost in 23 minutes, one fall.
Westergaard, won in 2 hours.
Westergaard, won two falls in 30
and 19 minutes.

From now to the time of the battle
Moran will devote much of his time to
boxing and is getting together a
squad of sparring partners. So far
he has failed to get one approximat
ing the size of Willard.
Jess continues to box with his reg
ular sparring mates and seems to be
reducing weight somewhat and get
ting better control of his wind.
Yesterday's score in the tourna
ment for the pocket billiard cham
pionship: Weston 100, Maturo 91;
Chapman 100, Ralph 65; Taberski
100, Fink 41; Allen 100, Chapman 50.
Clark is still leading with four vic
tories and no defeats. Petrie, Green
leaf and Blankenship are tied with
three victories and a single defeat.

COMMISSION MAN INJURED BY
An auto truck owned by the Yel
low Cab Co., according to police rec
ords, struck S. B. Frost, 54, of 60 W.
South Water st, at Dearborn and
South Water sts., Sunday.
Frost, a commission merchant,
had just left his offices on the way
home when he stepped off the side
walk and encountered the Yellow
