ALD. BUCK SUED FOR SLANDER

Is or is not the Hotel Morrison "one
of the toughest dives in town?"
The Moir Hotel Co., owners of
Hotel Morrison, raises this question
in suit filed yesterday against Aid.
Robert M. Buck.
It's a slander, the hotel owners
say. And about $25,000 cash would
fix up the damages to their feelings
"I am ready to go to trial on this
suit any time the Hotel Morrison
wants it started," said Aid. Buck.
Buck has copies of an affidavit
made by Dimitri Janikowski, former
head waiter at the Morrison. The
affidavit was part of the evidence sub
mitted to City Prosecutor Harry Mil
ler at the time Deputy Morals In
spector Hanna and Morals court
Judge Uhlir were asking Miller to get
action against the Hotel Morrison.
Parts of the affidavit of the head
waiter were printed in the Tribune
and The Day Book.
Hotel Morrison is a heavy adver
tiser in newspapers and-on billboards.
A poster of eighteen chorus girls
smiling over bare, pink shoulders is
the main billboard ad of the hoteL It
was the first downtown hotel to ex
tend a cabaret into the size of a musi
cal comedy performance.
DR. HAISELDEN DROPPED BY
CHICAGO MEDICAL SOCIETY
Dr. Harry J. Haiselden, who let the
deformed Bollinger baby die has been
dropped from membership by the
Chicago Medical society.
Dr. Haiselden was charged with
conduct unbecoming the ethics of his
profession because of the articles he
wrote following the Baby Bollinger's
death, by which he gained much ad
