Slocum of Thirteenth cavalry is re--ported
to have offered $50,000 re
ward for Gen. Villa's head. The offer
is open to anyone, Mexican or Amer
ican.
It is declared here that, for $50,
000, or less sum, Villa's own com
rades would risk their heads to get
his.
CoL Slocum could afford to pay
$50,000, being nephew of Mrs. Rus
sell Sage. He is quoted as having
said that Village head is well worth
the money.
WOMEN CRITICIZE NEW MOVIE
CENSOR HEAD
Women's clubs jumped on Chief of
Police Healey today because he ap
pointed Wilber P. Willis chief censor
of the moving picture censorship bu
reau. Two women censors were
higher on eligible list for position.
Healey says he appointed Willis be
cause he was a man.
Willis admitted he was friend of
Harry Igel, city hall man for Univer
sal, Triangle and Mutual movie firms.

HARMONY TODAY
Unprotected and without a green
ribbon to protect themselves 300
orange taxicabs are chasing around
the city today.
A Day Book reporter suggested to
the advertising manager of the Shaw
Taxicab Co. green crepe trimmings.
But the ad man said he thought the
days were past when Irishmen would
grow peeved at a bit of color.
