Chop bacon finely; add cabbage
finely chopped and moisten with the
boiling water or stock. Cook slowly
uncovered for 30 minutes. Add the
rice, parsley, salt and pepper and
cook 15 minutes longer.
Two tablespoons butter, 6 table
spoons boiled rice, 4 tablespoons
chopped cooked carrots, 3 table
spoons grated cheese, 2 chopped
hard-boiled eggs, milk.
Melt the butter and add the rice,
carrots, cheese and eggs. Moisten
with milk and season highly. Heap
on a dish and brown in the oven.
One cup cooked macaroni, 4 table
spoons butter, 4 tablespoons flour,
cup milk or stock, few drops onion
juice, salt and pepper, y2 cup cheese.
Melt butter; add flour and cheese;
when well blended add milk, onion
juice and seasonings. Cool, add ma
caroni; shape, dip in crumbs, egg and
crumbs, and fry in deep fat.

try has it on his home-made phono
graph. Notice the Tick Tick bird on
his back. As the rhino is a very deli
cate animal the tick bird is warning
him tha,t danger is near. It may be. an
angle worm that is coming to Stran
ge mc lumu.
The rhino has bum eyesight, and I
can't see that dainty little morsel, the
shoe brush flower growing in front of
him. There are no oculists in his
country to take care of his eyesight,
but he should worry. He knows he
can get a job in America anytime as
