grand jury. Bogus check charge.
Two men escaped after attempt to

FINED FOR HUGGING WIFE
Winnipeg, Man., April 13. Sam
Buka today paid a fine of $5.35 for
hugging his own wife. Sam had been
at a party. Wine flowed freely. A
comely maid attracted him. He, fol
lowed her. Thinking it was sh,e
standing on the porch, he gathered
the form of a woman in his arms.
The woman was his wife. She beat
him up; then called the police
