WHO?
She is Miss Alice Davenport,
known as "Mother" to the members
of the Keystone motion picture camp.
She is the one person in the comedy
plant who can. straighten out all the
little personal troubles that hob up
from time to time. There is no griev
ance too petty for this kind-hearted
woman to listen to and she is never
too busy to give a word of advice to
perplexed movie girls.
Miss Davenport was born in New
York City, where she received her
education. She chose the stage as a
profession when just a young girl and
after a successful legitimate experi
ence listened' to the call of the photo
play world.

"Slightly -incapacitated only" is a
Mex announcement of Villa's condi
tion. We guess so. Seems to have
a blamed, good pan- of legs left, anyhow,
Frank Vetri and Mrs. Joseph Castello
Frank Vetri, a deaf mute, who the
police say confessed he slew Mrs. Jo
seph Castello, also a 'deaf mute, is
the prime factor in the strangest
'loveless triangle" case the New
York police have ever had to deal
with.
With no apparent qualms of con
science, Vetri told the police how he
"eloped" with Mrs. Castello to New
Haven. Her husband was there and
watched the couple in their room.
Vetri is credited with saying that
