THOUSANDS OF JOBS GIVEN BY
ILL. FREE JOB BUREAU
Thousands of men have been
placed in good-paying jobs by the III. '
State Free Employment agency in
the last few weeks and requests for
hundreds of men are coming in daily
in both the skilled trades office at 524
S. Dearborn and the unskilled labor
office at 520 W. Monroe st.
Both of these job bureaus are giv
ing the private agencies a run for
their money and several of the un
skilled labor agencies have gone out
of business in the past few months.
Sup't Boyd of the agencies here
says there is an unprecedented de
mand for labor of all kinds and that
in some trades it is impossible to find
men to fill the jobs.
