- AINT NATUREWONDERFUL!
Unnatural History by Eugene Ahern.
A jqueer bird is the rooster. There
are three excuses for there being
such a thing as a rooster on this
1. He is very valuable for the mak
ing of everything on a feather duster
except the handle or ebony part.
That part is found in large quantities
'in any city.
2. If it wasn't for the rooster there
wouldn't be any flavor to stewed
3. He's a Jeam-mate with the cat
for being a shoe target
A funny thing about the rooster is
that he has a second childhood.
When he hits the butcher shop he has
his nom de plume changed from
roster to spring chicken. Dentists ,
are very grateful to the "spring
chicken," because if it were not for
him gold crowns would be used as
sling shot ammunition and the den
tists would all be panhandlers.
Hew t8 the rooster, let the ome
ettes fall where they may!
WHAT'S SUJT WITHOUT COLLAR!
A PERKY OR A FLUFFY COLLAR
By Betty Brown
When you want to beguile the
world into believing your tailored
suit is newer than it is wear a col
lar such a collar as I've sketched
for you here.
The cape is the sheerest organdie,
delicately embroidered in white and
black, the pleated stock is white
Georgette crepe and the band is
black velvet bowed at the back.
The black silk stock pictured won't
quite so successfully furbish up your
frock, but it gives a stunning touch
to a tailored suit. " It is white lawn
with stock of black silk in colonial
Style. ...... rr -
