day, filed by M. P. Higgins, policeman -of
the Stockyards statidn.- A fender
'less auto truck added this bit to the
' woes of the New York publisher.
Higgins was traveling beat at 62d
and Halsted one day this spring when,
a speeding auto truck delivering
Americans swung around the corner
and ran him down.
According to Attorney T. J. Hickey
of Lanner & Hickey, Higgins was se
verely injured and has been off duty
for months since. Some of the hurts
may prove permanent, Is the claim.
