FORTY-NINE DIE IN TORNADO
IN SOUTHERN STATES
Memphis, Tenn., June 6. Forty
nine persons were killed in a tornado
that swept through Arkansas and'
Mississippi last night, according to
dispatches here today. Thousands
of dollars' property damage was
done and hudreds of persons injured.
Twenty-five persons are' dead at
Judsonia, White county, Ark.; six in
Bedford, Ark.; three in Hot Springs;
eight near Natchez, Miss., and two
near Jackson, iMss., according to re
