Dorothy Klump.
At first she was afraid and cried
she couldn't swim and didn't want
to learn. That was two years ago.
She then was four years of age. But
times have changed.
Little Dorothy Klump, weight 46
pounds, height 45. inches, now is
able to swim 440 yards, or even a
mile, with ease, and is beloved by
every member of the Philadelphia
yurngemeinde, where she is daily
practicing to become world's cham
pion. There may be other kiddies in the
country still younger who can pad
dle around in deep water, but Phila
delphians are willing to pit Dorothy
against any swimmer of her age, or
will give a few years' handicap and
wager she will win.
