a monster parade in Washington
which served to celebrate Flag day
and demonstrate the sentiment of
the marchers in favor of national pre
paredness. The president carried one of the
largest flags seen in the pageant He
wore white shoes, white duck trous
ers, white tie, blue coat and straw
hat He marched between William
Gude, chairman of the arrangements
committee, and Rudolph Kauffman,
who wore long coats and silk "plug"
hats.

HAVE UNTIL JULY 4.
Wine of Cardui jury in Judge Car
penter's court started on its second
day of balloting to get verdict in
$100,000 suit of J. A. Patten against
the American Medical ass'n. Case
resulted from attack of A. M. A. on
the Wine of Cardui as a quack pa
tent medicine.
Judge Carpenter announced yes
terday that he would give the jury
until July 4 to reach a decision.
