REWARDS OFFERED IN BOMB
TRAGEDY OF FRISCO
San Francisco, July 24. Reward
of $5,000 has been offered by Mayor
James Rolph, Jr., for the arrest of
the person who placed the bomb Sat
urday which killed six and wounded
more than forty in the preparedness
parade. Another offer of $1,000 has
been made by Ben F. Lamborne of
Alameda, brother of L. H. Lamborne,
one of those killed.
Police are working on clews fur
nished by alleged eye-witnesses of
the placeing of the bag that con
tained the bomb. Wm. Taylor, a crip
ple, said he remonstrated with a tall,
shabbily-dressed man of about 35,
who dropped a suitcase on the spot
a few minutes before the explosion
and was told to mind his business.
Harry Jones, a workman, said he
talked with a man he believed to bo
a Mexican in a saloon and the man
said he was going to blow up the pro
cession. No more deaths have occurred, but
two more are expected to be added
to the death tolL
