LITTLE SISTER IN HER NEW SCHOOL HAT!

Little Sister in her new fall hat!
She is as stylish as her mamma.
Little Sister's hat is NOT from Paris.
It was made in America.
Hat No. 1 is 'black velvet with
slightly shirred crown and irregularly
rolling brim. The band is black
grosgrain ribbon. The apple that
hangs from the front band is rosy
Hat No. 2 is navy blue plush a
hat that will go well with a fur-trimmed
coat The band is navy blue and
flutters off in double streamers at the
Hat No. 3 is a gay affair in purple
velvet with pipings of the same
around the high crown. A spray of
purple and red flowers gives a be
coming downward tilt to the wide
A very practical hat is No. 4. It
is aschool hat for Miss Twelve-Year-Old.
It is stiff felt in navy blue with
band of Roman striped nbbon.

Boil pound of rice in milk until
tender. Mash, then rub into 2 quarts
of flour as you would run butter and
flour. Mix thoroughly. Add 3 table
spoons sugar, even tablespoon salt.
Dissolve cake of yeast in quart luke
warm milk. Add to flour and rice;
knead thoroughly; let rise to three
times size. Knead again; form into
loaves kand let double in size. Bake
50 minutes in rather hot oven.
Many a ballroom gown, in cover
ing a warm heart, reaches its limit.
