NINE OUSTED TEACHERS BACK
ON JOB FOR A DAY
Thft fihicaeo Teachers' Federation
is rapidly getting ready for a court
fight against the high-handed meth
od with which Jake Loeb is running
the public schools of Chicago. Yes
terday the teachers' att'y, Isaac T.
Greenacre, served Acting Sup't of
Schools, Chas. D. Lowry with a copy
of Judge Sullivan's injunction against

board from interfering with the fed
eration. In the meanwhile 9 of the 38 teach
ers who were discharged because of
their connection with the federation
slipped one over on Jake Loeb by re

were ready and willing to perform
The entire 38 made an effort to re
sume their places. The 9 who were
successful before the "powers that
be" on the board got busy were: Ida

na Hayes and Mrs. Eleanor Nowlan.

by Mrs. Raymond Robins and others
